Working on a team often means picking up a project mid-stream. At Tuck, we had static icons introducing each section of our review videos. They worked well, but in the world of YouTube, every detail matters when it comes to retaining viewers. My task was to bring these icons to life.
I started by using Illustrator to break apart the key elements of each icon, then animated their appearance in After Effects. Each icon now has a fun, playful way of materializing on screen, adding energy and cohesion to every section.
