THE BRIEF
Design a compelling environmental ad campaign to encourage the use of Wet Ones Antibacterial wipes during flu season.
THE SOLUTION
An “invasion” of die cut paper germs that were dispersed across keyboards.
THE APPROACH
This environmental marketing moment needed to be easy to execute and install, to deliver high impact, to truly take over a space, to be Instagramable and to have a level of personal interaction. The Invasion of the Keyboard Germs! is a small idea with big impact - 12 unique, illustrated germ characters invade keyboards and remind people to keep their workspaces, and hands, clean. The colorful germs measure 2” by 2” and include a speech bubble next to the germ with a comedic blurb. On the back of each speech bubble is the Wet Ones logo. The Invasion of the Keyboard Germs encourages engagement, since people have to remove the germs to use the keyboard. This personal interaction brings potential consumers up close and personal with the fact that this keyboard might not be clean — so they’d better clean their hands with Wet Ones.​​​​​​​
